Skiing Les Arcs

Located in the Savoy region, Les Arcs is made up of 4 different villages each at different altitudes. Arcs 1600, Arcs 1800, Arcs 1950 & Arc 2000, each have their own bars, restaurants, supermarkets and range of activities to enjoy. There is also a free shuttle bus between villages so you can easily enjoy the entertainment in any of the villages. The new development located just above Arcs 1800 introduced the new entertainment complex “Mille8”, sports center with swimming pools, saunas, gym and delicious new eateries. Since 2003 Les Arcs has been connected to La Plagne and Peisey-Vallandry creating the Paradiski area which offers 425km of pistes.

Skiing in Les Arcs & Paradiski

Les Arcs has a total of 200km of groomed piste, a top altitude of 3,226m and excellent snowfall throughout the season that guarantees great skiing all season long. Each village provides easy access to at least one of the tame beginner slopes, perfect for anyone new at skiing or getting their ski legs back. Les Arc also has plenty to offer the more intermediate/advance skier with a total of 17 Black runs, several snow parks and plenty of off piste skiing.

The Paradiski ski area really is a skiers’ paradise, offering a choice of slopes difficult to find elsewhere in the Alps. From gentle blue runs for first-time skiers to some of the steepest and most difficult ski slopes in France, Paradiski with its 425 km of slopes, lives up to its name. In just one day you can easily pass from a snow park to skiing on the glaciers or through beautiful forests along tree-lined runs to huge off-piste areas of untouched powder: each to his own. A dream ski area, linking together the ski resorts of La Plagne, Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry each with their own special atmospheres.

Around 70% of the Paradiski ski area is above 2000m of altitude thus guaranteeing exceptional snow conditions throughout the winter season. Paradiski can boast about the quality of its facilities such as the Vanoise Express, the largest cable car in the world allowing you to pass from one valley to another in just a few minutes! The Paradiski ski area is also a paradise for cross-country or Nordic skiing fans with 153 km of Nordic trails through forests and across beautiful snowy plains, with superb views of the Mont Blanc and the Beaufortain mountains.

At Belle Plagne, freestyle skiing fans will appreciate the large snow park, made up of 2 zones, the “Petit Park” for beginners and the “Gros Park” for more experienced riders. The choice of installations is enormous: rails, tables, S, wave, Fun Box, Big Air Bag, half pipe, a professional half pipe as well as a boardercross… You can watch films of your own jumps and invite others to view your skills too via your mobile and social networks!
