Skiing Holiday's La Plagne


La Plagne stands at an altitude of 2,050m and has a total of 225km of groomed runs, with something for everyone ranging from wide gentle slopes to steep and narrow off piste runs. La Plagne is also part of the Paradiski with Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry running a total of 425km. Unlike other resorts La Plagne is made up of 11 separate smaller villages scattered across the steep mountain side, all of which offer ski to the door accommodation. With this in mind it is important to choose the correct location before booking. Belle Plagne and Plagne Cenre are the main villages of the resort.

La Plagne ski area has 126 slopes, 225 km of downhill runs:  9 green, 65 blue, 34 red and 18 black.  99 ski lifts, 1 snowpark, 3 boardercross and 1 half pipe.  80 km of cross-country skiing track link the different resorts of La Plagne.

Paradiski ski area (La Plagne, Les Arcs and Peiset-Vallandry) has 233 slopes, 425km of downhill runs:  11 green, 129 blue, 65 red and 37 black.  169 ski lifts, 2 snowparks, 3 boardercross, 2 boardergliss and 1 half pipe.  153 km of cross-country circuits.

The Paradiski ski area really is a skiers’ paradise, offering a choice of slopes difficult to find elsewhere in the Alps. From gentle blue runs for first-time skiers to some of the steepest and most difficult ski slopes in France, Paradiski with its 425 km of slopes, lives up to its name. In just one day you can easily pass from a snow park to skiing on the glaciers or through beautiful forests along tree-lined runs to huge off-piste areas of untouched powder: each to his own. A dream ski area, linking together the ski resorts of La Plagne, Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry each with their own special atmospheres.

Around 70% of the Paradiski ski area is above 2000m of altitude thus guaranteeing exceptional snow conditions throughout the winter season. Paradiski can boast about the quality of its facilities such as the Vanoise Express, the largest cable car in the world allowing you to pass from one valley to another in just a few minutes! The Paradiski ski area is also a paradise for cross-country or Nordic skiing fans with 153 km of Nordic trails through forests and across beautiful snowy plains, with superb views of the Mont Blanc and the Beaufortain mountains.

At Belle Plagne, freestyle skiing fans will appreciate the large snow park, made up of 2 zones, the “Petit Park” for beginners and the “Gros Park” for more experienced riders. The choice of installations is enormous: rails, tables, S, wave, Fun Box, Big Air Bag, half pipe, a professional half pipe as well as a boardercross….You can watch films of your own jumps and invite others to view your skills too via your mobile and social networks!
